Chawri Bazaar: Recalling Courtesans

This will be a walk into the times bygone when the imperial city of Shahjahanabad was at its prime. The Chawri Bazaar, as it is now called, was a boulevard of beautiful and cultured courtesans or tawaifs. The history of the heydays of this market, famous historical landmarks and its well-known courtesans will be discussed during the walk.
Additionally, this walk will be a foodie’s delight because this market happens to have century old eating joints and we will explore them at ease as well.
